Arken Optics Announces the New OUTRIDER 2-12x42 SFP Hunting Riflescope

Arken Optics has announced the upcoming launch of the OUTRIDER 2-12x42, a lightweight Second Focal Plane (SFP) hunting riflescope designed for hunting and other field applications.

Officially launching on August 26, 2026, the OUTRIDER 2-12x42 expands Arken’s optics lineup into a more lightweight, mobile, and field-ready platform, bringing Arken’s focus on precision and durability to a broader range of shooting environments.

Expanding Precision Beyond the Traditional Long-Range Platform

Arken has traditionally focused on heavy-duty optics for long-range tactical and precision shooting. The OUTRIDER represents an expansion of that foundation, developed for hunters and field shooters who need versatility without adding unnecessary weight to the rifle.

Designed Around the Way Hunters Hunt.

With a 2-12x magnification range, the OUTRIDER 2-12x42 provides a wide field of view and fast target acquisition at lower magnification, while offering additional magnification when greater precision is needed at distance.

Its SFP reticle provides a consistent aiming reference throughout the maginification range, while the forgiving eye box helps hunters acquire targets quickly from less-than-perfect shooting positions.

Built for the Field

The OUTRIDER 2-12x42 is available in DLR and FDR configurations.

The DLR (Duplex Reticle) provides a traditional aiming reference with bold outer posts and a fine center aiming point for precise shot placement. The FDR (Fiber Duplex Reticle) features six levels of red center-point illumination for improved visibility in changing light conditions.

Starting at just 22.4 oz (635 g) in the DLR configuration, the OUTRIDER 2-12x42 is designed for hunters who value mobility in demanding terrain.

The optic has also passed 800G recoil testing across 600 cycles, while hydrophobic lens coatings help maintain a clear sight picture in wet, dusty, and changing weather conditions.
