Why More Holdover Matters
One of the biggest differences between the two reticles is the amount of usable elevation reference below the centre crosshair.
The VPR reticle offers 12 MIL of holdover, covering the vast majority of hunting and practical long-range shooting situations.
TOR extends that usable range to 16 MIL, providing additional aiming references when significant bullet drop becomes a factor.
For shooters engaging targets at extreme distances—or using cartridges with pronounced trajectory changes—those additional references reduce the need to dial elevation and help maintain a faster shooting rhythm.
The full 16 MIL holdover is most accessible at lower magnification, while many shooters may use only part of the grid when increasing magnification to better spot impacts and make corrections.
The increased holdover range is particularly valuable during timed competitions where every second counts.

Precision in the Details
While the additional holdover range is immediately noticeable, TOR also introduces several refinements designed to improve aiming precision.
The reticle uses 0.2 MIL subtensions, giving shooters more precise reference points for elevation and wind corrections.
The central aiming point has also been reduced to 0.05–0.08 MIL. That range reflects normal manufacturing tolerance in the reticle-etching process rather than a deliberate difference between scopes — it allows small or distant targets to remain visible instead of being obscured by the reticle itself.
Combined with a larger illuminated area, these improvements help maintain a clear aiming picture across a wider range of lighting conditions.
